Guide
No-exam life insurance
Which applicants qualify, how fast underwriting works, and what happens if you don't qualify for accelerated coverage.
Nowadays many carriers offer accelerated underwriting: for people within age and amount guidelines, they use the application, pharmacy records, driving history and other data to decide, skipping the paramedical exam. Approvals can arrive the same day. This site shows whether each quote requires an exam, might request one, or qualifies for accelerated approval.
What it changes
Accelerated underwriting doesn't skip the review — just the exam. Your application is still verified, and a policy issued on false answers can be challenged in the first two years. If data raises questions, the carrier may still require an exam or blood tests; you can decide at that point whether to move forward.
Who tends to qualify
Usually applicants below around 60 who are applying for amounts within the carrier's accelerated limit, with no significant health issues and no tobacco use over the previous year. Some carriers will accept recent bloodwork from a doctor's visit rather than requiring a separate exam.
If needed, an exam is typically a 20- to 30-minute appointment with a paramedic who visits your Lake Elsinore home or office at no cost. Many healthy applicants see exam results improve their rate class, so an exam is often an advantage rather than a burden.
